1. What we collect
Your account: name, email address, password (kept encrypted, never readable), language.
What you do: listings and photos, messages and offers, searches, favourites, ratings and reports.
How the service runs: the log of emails sent (without their text), the count of clicks to other sites (without personal data) and a security log (sign-ins, IP address).
2. Why
To run the service, send you the alerts and notices you turn on, protect the community (moderation, security) and follow the pilot with overall figures.
3. Who sees what
Your public profile shows your first name and the initial of your last name, since when you are a member, your sales and your public ratings. A seller sees a buyer's first name and initial.
Your email address and your serial number are never shown to others. The place where a photo was taken is removed before it is stored.
4. Who we share with
We do not sell your data and we do not do targeted advertising.
To work, we rely on a host, an email provider to send the service's messages, and, only if you send a photo to recognise a model, an AI provider that receives only that cleaned photo. [Provider names to be completed.]
When you click to a retailer or eBay.ca, you leave CamTrade: their rules apply.
5. Cookies
A session cookie, needed to stay signed in, and the memory of your language and theme. No tracking or advertising cookies.
6. How long
We keep your account and what it holds as long as it exists. You can ask for it to be deleted. [Exact retention periods to be defined.]
7. Your rights
You can ask for access to your information, its correction or its deletion, and withdraw your consent, notably under Québec's Law 25 and PIPEDA. [Person in charge of personal information protection to be named.]
8. Security
